With regular practice of the these asanas students will find their hips become more and more flexible allowing you to sit in padmasana, also known as the lotus pose. Padmasana is not only the most stable seated meditation posture, but when it can be achieved comfortably it creates a sense of self-containment that naturally supports a quiet mind and makes it easier to focus inward. Remember, always practice yoga with patience and gentleness to the body and the rewards will come naturally.
